Attraction Marketing: Why You Dont Want A Bigger Logo!

Posted by leosaraceni on 21st July 2009

Some companies find Attraction Marketing hard to get it.

Some companies find Attraction Marketing hard to get it.

Sometimes I dont know if clients are looking at me with “deer-in-the-headlights” face because of my accent or because of the stuff I’m trying to make them understand.

Today I was sure it was the second option, which made me feel a bit better, at least about my English skills. However, when it comes to my marketing teaching skills, I’m probably lacking something.

I’m finishing an entire online campaign for this landscaping company, and it wasnt enough that they rejected my entire copywriting because it was “not very clear”, but they asked me to make their logo on the capture page bigger.

Before I get into the whole thing, here’s an example of what they wanted me to change:

We’re giving away a free mowing for every contract deal, so on top of the sign up form, I had:

“Get your first mowing absolutely free”

Which has now become:

“Request a quote for residential or commercial landscaping services absolutely free”

Awesome, huh? I’m going to run split tests on both and show them which one works best..

But anyway, here’s what got me fired up:

I had a 90×70 pixels logo on the top left corner of the page, simply to give it a “professional look”. At the meeting today, they requested a bigger logo.

“Why do you want a bigger logo?”, asked myself.

“For branding purposes”, replied.

“But the idea is to get people to sign up, and then sign a contract. We don’t even need a logo”, I tried to argue.

“What difference does it make?”, replied.

“Well, if I make your logo bigger, the sign up form wont be above the fold, and that is proven to  decrease conversions by at least 15%”, very convincing argument, right?

And apparently they bought it. We’re going to run with the small logo, but my point here is that most business owners are so used to hitting people over the head with their advertisement that when they try a completely new approach it ends up ruined by their old ways.

The other thing, which is much more important, and I forgot to mention to them, is that we are focusing on giving the visitors high-quality information first, to capture their attention, and make them want to do business with us. Follow the idea path:

High quality info -> happy customer -> more business!

Eventually, a logo is important for Corporate identity, brand positioning, and etc.. But as a customer, do you care about the logo?

I’m glad at least this battle I won, and now I’m sharing this with you here. When it’s all set and done, I’ll post the split test results with the different headlines.

But I’d love to hear what you think.

As I was thinking about this issue, I wrote another article on the best free attraction marketing training and I plan on suggesting it to them. Do you think they will read it?

The Marketing Voodoo Report & How Eben Pagan Moved The Free Line Out Of The Park

Posted by leosaraceni on 11th May 2009

Eben Pagan Moves The Free Line

Eben Pagan Moves The Free Line

I’ve just finished reading Eben Pagan’s latest giveaway, the 21-page Marketing Voodoo report.

Eben is too humble to take credit for it, but he’s famous for the phrase “move the free line”, in regards to offering high-quality content, freely, in order to capture and captivate prospects, customers, and associates.

To promote the launch of his Guru Home Study Course, Eben has been over-delivering 1000s of dollars worth of free tips, training, and even mini sales letters – stuff that could easily sell for at least $40, only to WOW his prospects to the point where they have to have his course.

Honestly, it’s working.

After taking the time to watch his 40 min video twice and reading his marketing voodoo report over and over, I’ve reached the point where I can’t imagine what’s left for the actual paid course. The information Eben shared on the marketing voodoo report alone is 100% actionable, and I already see it increasing my conversion rates and capturing customers for life.

I’m trying my best not to sound like a groupie, but it’s not easy.

What is impressive is that Eben leaves no doubt that what’s in the video and in the marketing voodoo report is his best, most precious strategies, and he is not afraid to reveal it publicly. The reason for is that despite the immediate potential his free reports have, with his guidance and special exercises, exploring its full potential will take much less than having to study it on your own.

Basically, Eben Pagan is giving you an amazing toy without the full, 400 page instruction. He gives you a 20 page instruction, and full access to the toy; you may play with it for a while, but without the entire manual, it gets boring… So you have to come and ask for the full instruction set.

It is your decision to seek Eben Pagan as a solution provider, not only because he gave you the toy, but because he knows exactly how to have lots and lots of fun playing it.

The entire “move the free line” strategy revolves around the fact that Eben (or any knowledgeable entrepreneur, for that matter) is confident that it will be our decision to seek his solution, which brings us to another point discussed on the Marketing voodoo report:

An info-product has to solve an immediate pain, and if done correctly, has no perceived competition.

Notice the cycle?

  • The Bait – high-quality information
  • The catch – the info has limited training
  • The solutionpay to get more training
  • The alternative – none, since there’s nothing designed for this specific need/service/opportunity

Genious!

I’ve already made changes to my sales letter, and include some of Eben’s “toys” – can you see which ones are they?

Michael Losier, The Law Of Attraction & LifePath Unlimited: A Powerful Combination

Posted by leosaraceni on 13th April 2009

Michael Losier - LifePath Unlimited Luminaire

Michael Losier - LifePath Unlimited Luminaire

Michal Losier, Oprah’s Law of Attraction specialist and author of the best-seller “The Law Of Attraction: How to Attract More Of What You Want And Less Of What You Don’t Want”, is one of the luminaries guiding LifePath Unlimited members to success.

After the profound impact of the movie The Secret, where the ancient Law Of Attraction was made widely popular, Michael Losier emerged as the resource for better understanding this universal law. When LifePath Unlimited initiated the creation of its personal development home study course, Losier was one the first authorities to be contacted, and his contribution is to this date, highly acclaimed by LifePath members.

In LifePath’s Discovery Series – a complete personal development home study course, Michael Losier joins 13 other luminaries to introduce, explain, and exercise concepts such as the Law of Attraction, the power of gratitude, maintaining your own power, and many more. The Discovery series is divided into 8 paths, each dedicated to a specific area of mind, body, and soul.

The popularity of the Law of Attraction, and the power within its mastery, draws a great deal of attention to the lessons taught by Michael Losier. Motivated by the words on his book, or by his appearances on national TV, hundreds of enlightened entrepreneurs set course to attract more of they want: personally, financially, and spiritually. Their research more than often leads to LifePath Unlimited, who took the education, the instructions, and the exercises, added a powerful financial opportunity and now offers members the chance to improve all aspects of their lives.

LifePath Unlimited’s business opportunity is based on the direct sales strategy, fueled by the free enterprise concept: each Discovery customer is a small franchise (without paying royalties or any fees) and has the ability to promote the products in exchange for a minimum $1000 commission.

The combination of personal development studies with amazing financial compensation is driving LifePath’s growth to the roof, and one major side effect is now noticed: LifePath Unlimited’s community of members, like-minded entrepreneurs motivated to mutually assist others, is becoming a product within a product.

Experience the powerful effects of this combination for yourself and expand your potential.

Effective Relationship Building through Social Media

Posted by leosaraceni on 13th March 2009

Social Networking - Relationship BuildingLittered with poking, silly games, and mountains of applications, you might think Facebook is just for kids. A year or two ago, you would have been right since majority of users were high school and college students. However, for the past six months, the group of users age 35-54 years has been experiencing explosive growth. In fact, these users posted an impressive 276% growth rate for the last half of 2008 – the equivalent of almost doubling every two months. So how can you capitalize on this? We have a few tips to make the most of social media, such as Facebook, for the purpose of relationship building.

Do your homework. Facebook is an environment that oversteps the boundaries between personal and business lives. It is a place where you can piece together your colleagues’ personality. That said, do some research! Find out your prospective business connection’s interests and preferences.

Make meaningful connections. Quality always beats quantity. Compare social media to a big party. You make connections because you are fun and interesting to interact with. If your connections ever become business colleagues, that is wonderful but it should never be your primary motive. Above all, you want to create meaningful relationships!

Use your toolset. You do not have to install dozens of fancy applications to make an impact. By default, your Facebook account has a number of basic tools you can use to help others get to know you. Write notes, post photos and links, and make an impression. You have to participate in social media for other users to interact with you and develop a connection.

Toss the agenda. Avoid trying to market yourself immediately. You want others to see you as a person. Just posting links to your blog and sending messages with clearly ulterior motives will alienate others irreversibly! Focus on being real and developing connections.

Maintain. This may seem like common sense but its often forgotten. Once you create a connection, you need to maintain it. That is, keep in touch even if lightly. Check up occasionally and see what is new. Read notes and statuses, exchange information, and help others out whenever possible.

If the overall message is not clear already, social media is about quality relationship building. Facebook is an endless supply of interesting people in both social and business aspects. If carefully cultivated, your relationships may develop into wonderful prospects for your future. Perhaps you know a guy who knows a guy? Use your connection and ask for an introduction! Maybe you have found the perfect business partner. Take a leap and make the most out of Facebook.

The 5 Unquestionable Pillars To Success

Posted by leosaraceni on 4th March 2009

Pillars to SuccessAre there common characteristics, or practices, amongst highly successful individuals?

Are there shared features in all major personal development books, such as Think And Grow Rich, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, etc…?

Yes, of course there are! They are the 5 Pillars To Success and I’ll be discussing each one separately in the next few posts.

These traits are shared by all successful individuals and they are – consciously or not -  key to their success.

Consciously or not, following these 5 practices attracts success and prosperity. These 5 pillars are the foundation upon which the Law Of Attraction manifests itself.

Here they are: Read the rest of this entry »

Old-School MLM? Darwin WILL hunt you!

Posted by leosaraceni on 15th January 2009

Another post ignited by an amazing discussion at the better networker:

This is one of the most insightful takes on “old-school mlm” - meaning buying leads/cold-calling/plasttering business cards/using valpak coupons - vs “new-school marketing”meaning leveraging an expert positioning to create attraction towards your area of expertise/cultivating your relationships/offering the most value.

This is a touchy topic, as I just had an interesting conversation with my own very successful upline, who is as I write this putting together a social media plan to improve his personal brand equity and to open an exclusive contact media for his large team.

As we were discussing his plan, I had the opportunity to point out the importance of developing relationships, instead of business transactions; creating multiple communication channels, and leveraging his knowledge and tenacity towards an easier-to-manage daily operation. Finally a Real Marketing System/Plan/Blueprint

Posted by leosaraceni on 7th January 2009

One of my goals for 2009 is to start a new brand, and implement an automated marketing system that would make Mike Dillard and Jay Kubassek ask me for advice.

The first drawing of my marketing system was made about 3 days ago, and while I was rounding up feedback from experienced marketers that I trust, some additions were made. This is not – by far – the ultimate plan, but I wanted to open the debate to other networkers, as I have never seen any marketing expert publicize their plans.

2009 Marketing System

So, my Social Media participation is on the top – it is the beginning of my customer experience cycle Read the rest of this entry »
